摘要

Composting is a basic solution to recycle organic waste and reduce its detrimental impact on public health and the environment. However, the possibility of offensive odors emerging during the breakdown process is one of the difficulties with composting. Researchers have created several methods for controlling composting odor. Some of these methods are traditional methods that are infrequently used, while other advanced methods especially those innovated in the last decade are very efficient in reducing composting odor. Biofiltration is one of the most effective of these methods. In this review paper, methods of controlling composting odor will be covered especially those innovated in the last decade concentrating on the biofiltration method.
