Recurring phyllodes tumor of the vulva in adolescent patient: case report and literature review
摘要
Phyllodes tumor (PT) of the vulva is an extremely rare fibroepithelial neoplasm with histological characteristics similar to breast PT, but with exceptional occurrence in this anatomical location and few cases reported in the literature. This report presents a rare case of recurrent vulvar phyllodes tumor in a 15-year-old patient with a progressively growing nodular lesion in the vulva. After resection, the patient presented two recurrences and the emergence of new lesions. This case highlights the importance of surveillance in patients with vulvar phyllodes tumors due to the risk of local recurrences even when surgical excision with clear margins is performed.
