Background <p>Dural arteriovenous fistulas are vascular malformations of the brain in which arteriovenous fistulous connections develop at the walls of the venous sinuses or between dural arteries and cortical veins.</p> Case presentation <p>Here, we present a case of a 30-year-old female who presented with headache and was diagnosed to have a dural arteriovenous fistula of the cavernous sinus supplied only by the inferolateral trunk of the internal carotid artery, which is very rare. Embolization was done via venous access, and the patient had a good outcome.</p> Conclusion <p>This case highlights that embolization of the venous sinus is a good option for the treatment of cavernous sinus dural arteriovenous fistula supplied solely by the inferolateral trunk as it avoids the risk of cranial nerve palsies associated with occlusion of the inferolateral trunk.</p>
