Background <p>Although chronic low back pain is associated with significant disability burden, few epidemiological studies have been conducted on CLBP, its predictors, and lifestyle associations. In this context, the present study aimed to identify the relationship between CLBP and the lifestyle of hospital workers.</p> Methods <p>This descriptive-analytical study was conducted in 2023 in two Hospitals. In this study, all medical and non-medical staff suffering from back pain were asked to participate in an online survey and all staff with chronic back pain were identified and included in the study.</p> Results <p>Of the 162 staff members who answered questions and participated in the study, 36 (22.2%) were administrative staff and 126 (77.8%) were medical staff. Stepwise multiple linear regression was used to identify predictors of lifestyle in administrative Staff as measured in term of NRS scores. The independent predictors of NRS score were BMI (<i>p</i> = 0.022), IPAQ (<i>p</i> = 0.004), PROMIS (<i>p</i> = 0.053), and PSS (<i>p</i> = 0.028). The independent predictors of NRS score in medical staff were BMI (<i>p</i> = 0.047), PROMIS (<i>p</i> = 0.021), and PSS (<i>p</i> = 0.010).</p> Conclusion <p>Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that appropriate measures and solutions will be put in place to improve the lifestyle of hospital workers, thereby preventing and CLBP.</p>

Background
