<p>The study investigated the mediation of green environment and energy efficiency in the relationship between green energy and sustainability. A cross-sectional survey of 220 randomly selected respondents from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company and Total Oil Company in three Niger Delta States of Rivers, Bayelsa and Edo was the study’s design. The authors used a structured questionnaire to collect the data. Convergent and divergent techniques were used to test for the validity of the questionnaire, while the instrument’s reliability was tested using the composite technique. The path diagram analysis of the structural equation modelling technique was used to analyse the data. The results revealed that green energy has a significant association with green environment and energy efficiency. In addition, green energy has a significant relationship with sustainability through the mediations of green environment and energy efficiency. The study significantly contributes to literature and to the extinction avoidance theory.</p>
