摘要

This work concentrates on various aspects of the scientific research community’s attention on the use of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) rebars and comprehensively deals with the bond behavior and development length of FRP rebars in concrete. FRP rebars are a promising alternative to traditional steel rebars for concrete reinforcement due to their high strength, corrosion resistance, and lightweight characteristics. Understanding the bond behavior of FRP rebar and concrete is necessary to ensure the integrity and durability of the structure and to optimize the construction and design of the reinforced concrete (RC) structures using FRP reinforcement. Research in this field has resulted in numerous articles in scientific databases such as Springer, Elsevier, ACI, and ASCE. Here, the literature on the use of FRP rebars in concrete is comprehensively evaluated and various relevant regulations and codes are reviewed. This review can contribute to the development of appropriate design guidelines, construction practices, and quality control measures to ensure the effective use of FRP rebar in concrete applications.
