<p>Consumption of processed meat products and fast foods are popular, all over the world. This investigation examined the prevalence of <i>Sarcocystis</i> spp. and <i>Toxoplasma gondii</i> in processed meats (hamburgers, sausages, jambon) due to their global consumption. A total of 160 samples, including hamburgers, sausages, and jambon, were collected from 15 markets (Market 1–Market 15). Conventional digestion technique was performed to isolate cysts of the parasites. Samples were stained by Giemsa and microscopically studied. Upon DNA extraction, the presence of the parasites was investigated using real-time PCR. In the present study, <i>Sarcocystis</i> spp., were detected in different types of meat products. The results showed that 40/160 (25%) of samples were positive for <i>Sarcocystis</i> spp. in 11/62 (17.7%), 11/42 (26.2%), and 18/56 (32.1%) of sausages, hamburgers, and jambon, respectively. The results of the real-time PCR presented as average cycle threshold (Ct) values for the positive samples 29.83 ± 2.7 with an average melting temperature (T<sub>m</sub> ) 80.22 ± 0.63. No trace of <i>T. gondii</i> was detected. <i>Sarcocystis cruzi</i>, <i>S. hirsuta</i>, and <i>S. tenella</i> were identified among 38, one, and one samples, respectively. The phylogenetic tree showed that the <i>Sarcocystis</i> spp. sequences were categorized into three main groups including <i>S. cruzi</i>, <i>S. hirsuta</i>, and <i>S. tenella</i>. We observed a low level of genetic variation among the sequences of <i>Sarcocystis</i> species throughout the 18S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) gene loci. The current prevalence of <i>Sarcocystis</i> spp. in beef reflects substantial transmission in cattle. Understanding parasite prevalence in meat products helps predict human infection risks and highlights the need for enhanced prevention strategies.</p>
