Introduction <p>The hospital environment in radiology is highly demanding, making emotional intelligence (EI) essential for radiological technologists to manage emotions and communicate effectively. The objective of this study is to assess the level of EI among radiological technologists in Morocco and to examine the factors influencing it.</p> Methods <p>This cross-sectional descriptive quantitative study included 130 radiological technologists working in seven hospitals in Morocco. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on the Trait Meta-Mood Scale (TMMS), along with sociodemographic and professional variables.</p> Results <p>The mean overall EI score among radiological technologists was 72.9 ± 14.6. EI was significantly associated with gender, age, professional experience, workplace, marital status, job satisfaction, relationship satisfaction, and prior knowledge of EI, whereas no associations were found with academic level, type of establishment, means of transportation, or formal EI training. After multivariable adjustment, working in a private hospital, higher job satisfaction, and prior knowledge of EI remained independently associated with higher EI scores.</p> Conclusion <p>EI was significantly associated with workplace setting, job satisfaction, and prior knowledge of EI. These findings highlight the value of incorporating EI into training and professional development programs for radiological technologists. Improving working conditions and promoting EI in workforce management may also support healthcare professionals’ well-being and contribute to better quality of care.</p>
