摘要

Due to climate change particularly increased temperatures, Vector Borne Diseases (VBD) especially malaria requires prioritization of strategies to overcome them. While there is a wealth of information on malaria elimination globally, the particular situation of Cambodia needs further exploration, yielding insights that are distinct and yet beneficial. This review aims to discuss interventions and programs aimed at malaria elimination in Cambodia. In addition, this study seeks to analyse the progress, challenges and prioritization of strategies for malaria elimination in the unique context of Cambodia. In November 2024, the online databases PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Sciences were used to search for literature. Analysis was done on open access publications published from 2014 to 2024. The inclusion criteria were satisfied by twenty five articles. Though reduction in transmissions and case fatalities have been achieved through varied malaria programs and interventions, barriers relating to gaps in services and programs, inadequate infrastructural facilities, low coverage, poor access and some individual factors remain a challenge especially in high risk areas. Public health strategies aimed at increasing malaria surveillance and case management, addressing inequities in access and use of malaria care programs in Cambodia needs addressing.
