Background <p>The increasing female prisoner population worldwide highlights the urgent need for tailored reproductive healthcare services in correctional facilities. However, there remains a significant gap in comprehensively understanding and addressing the unique reproductive healthcare needs of incarcerated reproductive-aged women.</p> Aim <p>This review aimed at mapping existing literature on the reproductive healthcare needs of incarcerated women worldwide.</p> Methods <p>This study employed a scoping review methodology following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). A thorough analysis of 25 relevant studies was conducted. Quality appraisal of included studies performed using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool.</p> Results <p>The analysis yielded three prominent themes: Comprehensive Preventive Health Services, Healthcare Provision, and Maternal Health Care Continuum. These themes underscore the critical importance of addressing infection control, providing psychological support, ensuring adequate maternal care, and promoting hygiene practices within correctional settings.</p> Conclusion <p>The findings of this scoping review highlight the urgent need for systemic changes in correctional healthcare policies and practices to ensure equitable access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare services for incarcerated women globally. Strategic planning, collaborative coordination, and targeted interventions are essential to uphold reproductive justice and improve health outcomes for this vulnerable population.</p>
