摘要

The patient sought medical attention due to symptoms of generalized fatigue, dysuria, fever, and rectal tenesmus. He has type 2 diabetes mellitus but is not on medication. A Computed Tomography scan revealed hypodense shadows in the prostate, liver, and kidneys, the presence of septic embolism in the hepatic and renal veins, as well as patchy and ground-glass opacities in the lungs. Subsequently, Klebsiella pneumoniae was detected in the patient’s puncture drainage fluid and blood. Upon reviewing the literature, it was found that Klebsiella pneumoniae-induced prostatic abscesses and septic embolism in the hepatic and renal veins are exceedingly rare in clinical practice. Fortunately, the patient’s condition was effectively alleviated following aggressive treatment by the medical team. By documenting our experience with this rare condition, we aspire to assist clinicians in recognizing and treating similar cases more effectively.
