Abstract <p>The article examines changes in the labor market indicators of the urban okrug of Barnaul and neighboring municipalities that form the Barnaul urban agglomeration, by including the agglomeration factor in their assessment. The results reflect an increase in the concentration of employment in urban areas in the manufacturing and transportation and storage sectors, but a decrease in average wages and increase in the unemployment rate with respect to the working-age population. An uneven distribution of working conditions within the agglomeration was also revealed. According to the author, their alignment could contribute to improving the standard of living of the population.</p>
