Abstract <p>The results of a cytological analysis of metaphase I in interspecific hybrids of <i>Triticum aestivum</i> L. × <i>Triticum durum</i> Desf. are presented. Based on them, the character of the splitting of the population of interspecific F<sub>2</sub> hybrids in terms of the quantitative composition of chromosomes is presented. Forms with asynaptic meiosis have been identified in hybrid combinations. The results of a cytological monosome analysis of the specifics of the passage of metaphase I of meiosis in hybrid combinations with asynaptic meiosis are shown.</p>
