The Scala Naturae Is a Way of Building a Periodic System for Biology

No chemist will tell that hydrogen is a secondarily simplified helium that arose from the adaptation to the parasitism on the oxygen and, therefore, cannot be put to the beginning of the system of elements or that similarity of iron and cobalt evolved in convergence, thus, these elements are, in actual fact, unrelated and cannot be grouped, while the closest relative to iron is potassium. In biology, these speculations are common and to the effect that biology lacks a system similar to the periodic table of the chemical elements. One can only welcome addressing the growth of complexity in evolution in recent presentation of the carcino-evo-devo concept by A.P. Kozlov. This topic affords an opportunity to harmonize and streamline the classification of biological objects and, therefore, biological knowledge as a whole. It makes it possible to compose a contemporary version of the Great Chain of Being popular in the past, i.e., the arrangement of phyla in the form of a row reflecting the extent of distinction from the simplest organism. The row will allow for establishment of similarity between non-neighboring members. This means that the rows can be transformed into a periodic table. The article presents a version of this table. It provides a foundation for the analysis of evolutionary concepts and emphasizes the need for populating them with a substantial volume of factual material on the diversity of living organisms.
