Kinetiсs of TiO2 Samples Calcination
摘要
Based on the data of thermogravimetric (TG) analysis of calcination of two TiO2 samples obtained by the hydrothermal method (sample 1) and the sol-gel method (sample 2), the kinetic parameters of the process were estimated. The kinetics of calcination of TiO2 samples was studied at heating rates of 5, 10 and 20°С/min in an inert environment (argon). The results of model-free kinetic analysis were obtained using the Friedman method. The activation energy (Ea, kJ/mol) of the calcination process for sample 1 is twice as high as for sample 2: 89 and 44 kJ/mol, respectively. The proportion of pore volume in the total volume of the material (porosity) was 9.3% for sample 1 and 18.3% for sample 2. It is shown that the method of synthesis TiO2 samples significantly affects the kinetics of their calcination.
