Study of the Influence of the Main Parameters of the Laser Powder Cladding Process of 08Kh14N5M2DL Steel on the Formation of Deposited Beads

Abstract—The results of the study of the influence of the main parameters of laser powder surfacing of steel 08Kh14N5М2DL on the dimensions of the applied rollers are presented. The parameters of the applied rollers were the width of the roller, the height of the roller, the depth of penetration of the substrate, the value of the zone of thermal influence, the angle of wetting of the roller, the cross-sectional area of the coating, and the cross-sectional area of the molten part of the substrate. Rational values of process parameters are determined, which provide minimal penetration of the substrate during the formation of the height of the deposited roller at the level of 3.2–3.5 mm. Analysis of the welded rollers showed the absence of defects both in themselves and in the substrate material.
