Qualitative Identification of Subsurface Defects in Honeycomb Core Materials Using Infrared Scanning Thermography
摘要
Abstract
This article describes a method for identifying delamination defects in honeycomb composites using scanning thermography with a linear heating source. Mathematical and algorithmic methods and approaches to processing images obtained by an infrared camera are described. The applicability of approaches is tested on specially prepared model specimens of polymer composites with simulation of defects, and the possibility of detecting defects with an error of less than 2% is shown.
