Abstract

The paper considers the mechanical properties of hot-rolled sheets made of heat-resistant titanium alloy grade VT41 in the annealed condition. The studies were carried out on the material of two melts of pilot-industrial sheets 1.0 mm thick in the annealed condition: after incomplete, complete single-stage, and double annealing. One of the melts corresponds to the typical nominal calculated composition of VT41 alloy used to manufacture forgings for high-pressure compressor rotor parts of aircraft gas turbine engines. The chemical composition of the other melt corresponds to the calculated chemical composition of VT41 alloy used to manufacture forgings for welded body parts of aircraft equipment. This article presents the results of tensile tests at room temperature and temperatures of 500 and 600°C, bending angle, and the results of metallographic studies.
