Abstract

The impact of temperature fluctuations on the population dynamics in the lime leaf miner Ph. issikii was studied in the city of Izhevsk over the period of 2001−2024. During the observation period, the miner had one generation per year in 70.8% of cases. Realization of 1-year generation generally leads to an increase in the miner population size, while two generations leads to its decrease. Temporary disappearance of Ph. issikii from an extended area occurs as a result of the impact of extremely high temperatures on the development of the miner larvae and extremely low temperatures on imagoes emerging after winter diapause.
