Numerical Study of the Flow near a Descent Vehicle with the Parachute System’s Canopies in Its Near Wake in Supersonic Motion
摘要
On the basis of conservative numerical methods, the spatial nonstationary vortex structure of the flow arising in the supersonic motion in the atmosphere of a descent vehicle and the parachute system canopies located in its vortex wake are modeled. The variants of the parachute system consisting of one to seven canopies are considered. Patterns of the flow occurring in the area between the vehicle and the canopies, as well as in the near wake behind the parachute system are presented. Calculations are performed for different distances between the descent vehicle and the canopies. The influence of the distance between the vehicle and the canopies on the characteristics of the force effect of the flow on the vehicle and the parachute system is shown. The simulation is carried out on the basis of parallel algorithms implemented on modern supercomputer systems.
