Prospects for the Application of Chopped Fiber-Based Polymer Coatings for Protecting Elements of Ground-Based Transport and Technological Vehicles (Review)

Abstract
The paper discusses the prospects for using a protective coating based on polymer composite materials (PCM) containing chopped fiber as a filler. It has been shown that these coatings can increase the durability of body components of ground transportation and technological vehicles, which are exposed to various physical and chemical factors during operation, including under harsh conditions. The advantages of a protective coating based on polymer composites incorporating chopped fiber are analyzed compared to existing protection methods.
