Potential for the Use of Silicone Molds in the Manufacture of Parts for Ground-Based Transport and Technological Machines and Complexes Using Shell Casting Technology

Abstract
The main areas and advantages of shell casting technology application in manufacturing parts of ground transport and technological machines and complexes are analyzed. Specifics and prospects of application of silicone molds manufactured on the basis of 3D master models from various types of thermoplastic polymer composite materials are reflected in detail. The main parameters influencing the quality and accuracy of manufactured silicone molds are defined. A mathematical model for selecting the optimal strategy for reducing labor intensity is developed, taking into account controlled and uncontrolled effects arising within the technological process’ framework at the stage of manufacturing a silicone mold.
