Abstract
This article presents a new method for predicting the durability of anticorrosive paint coatings based on the analysis of their electrochemical properties. This method is based on studying changes in the measured resistance and capacitance of coating and the calculated capacitance–frequency coefficient under the influence of electrolytes in a wide range of alternating current frequencies. This article describes the sequence of calculating the capacitance–frequency coefficient and its use to determine the service life of a coating.
