Abstract

The morphological features of the herbarium specimens of Typha domingensis have been revised, which was determined by a find of T. angustata in the Don River delta (Rostov oblast), to which the former has been assigned in recent time. The analysis involved samples of T. domingensis from Brazil and India, which are “fully represented” in the “World Flora” collection of the LE and KW herbariums. An in-depth analysis of the specimens using the digital camera and software of an Olympus BX43 microscope has shown that T. domingensis in the collection is represented by heterogeneous material. The independence of T. angustata has been confirmed. New and rare morphological features have been revealed for the specimens from Brazil and India. A new combination of the species T. domingensis from Brazil and a new species from India (Punjab) have been proposed.
