Abstract <p>Four <i>Vaucheria</i> species are reported from East Transcaucasia, including new national records for Georgia (<i>V. sescuplicaria</i>) and Azerbaijan (<i>V. canalicularis</i>, <i>V. synandra</i>). <i>V. sescuplicaria</i>, previously known mostly from European coasts and saline inland habitats, is first recorded for the Caucasus and West Asia. <i>V.&#xa0;synandra</i>, a rare and predominantly marine species, is first recorded from the Caspian Sea coast. Morphology and distribution of all species are briefly discussed.</p>

Abstract

Four Vaucheria species are reported from East Transcaucasia, including new national records for Georgia (V. sescuplicaria) and Azerbaijan (V. canalicularis, V. synandra).
