Abstract

A comparative analysis of the fauna of parasitic Metazoa of two sympatric grayling species, black Baikal and white Baikal, from Chivyrkuisky and Barguzinsky bays of Lake Baikal has been carried out. The level of similarity in the species composition of parasitic Metazoa between the black and white grayling in Chivyrkuisky Bay is the largest among all pairs of host groups, and in Barguzinsky Bay it is the smallest (twice as low), which is due to the characteristic features of the latter bay.
