摘要

Abstract

Three rare taxa of the chrysophyte genus Epipyxis, E. borgei, E. diplostoma and E. utriculus var. pusilla, were recorded from the Leningrad Region (northwest of European Russia). The lorica morphology of these taxa was studied using light and scanning electron microscopy. This is the first electron microscopical investigation of the loricae ultrastructure of E. borgei and E. diplostoma. E. diplostoma, a species new to Russia, is recorded for the first time since its description.
