Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop an effective non-invasive method for determining the properties of the object under consideration. The boundary value problem is reduced to a volume integral equation. The paper presents a description of the direct and inverse problems. The collocation method and combined computational grids are used to solve the direct and inverse problems. The procedure for solving the inverse problem is based on a two-step method. A detailed description of the numerical method and filtering procedure is given. Numerical results for solving the problem with noisy and unnoisy input data are presented and compared.
