The Study of Thermal Stability and Thermophysical Properties of Polylactide—Ground Tire Rubber Compositions
摘要
Abstract
The effect of ground tire rubber (GTR) containing zinc oxide (ZnO) on the thermal stability and thermophysical properties of polylactide (PLA)—GTR composites was investigated. It was established that significant reduction in the thermal stability of PLA is connected with the presence of ZnO in GTR and it was suggested that ZnO promotes PLA depolymerization through unzipping mechanism. The presence of ZnO particles on the surface of GTR and in compositions was shown by SEM method. The DSC results shown that ZnO particles can act a high-efficiency nucleating agent promoting crystallization of PLA and a notable reduction of Tcr under cooling with increasing of GTR concentration in composition.
