Abstract <p>The results of applying the tagged neutron method for remote non-destructive elemental analysis of a substance on a conveyor are discussed. The tagged neutron method involves irradiating the sample material with fast neutrons having an energy of 14.1 MeV followed by detection of characteristic gamma-ray emission. Neutron tagging is performed using an alpha detector integrated into the neutron generator.</p>
