Dynamic Aperture Simulation for Synchrotron with Electron Cooling
摘要
Abstract
Sextupole lenses used for chromatic aberration correction can excite nonlinear resonances that limit the dynamic aperture. It is also necessary to take into account the effect of betatron coupling excited by the solenoid of the cooling section. This paper presents the results of a study of the dynamic aperture of the booster synchrotron being developed at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences (BINP SB RAS). Optimal working points for different accelerator operating modes have been determined. Frequency map analysis has been performed to study the regularity of trajectories in the accelerator aperture.
