Abstract <p>Novel 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine derivatives bearing benzohydrazide moieties were synthesized and characterized. Their structures were confirmed by <sup>1</sup>H and <sup>13</sup>C NMR and IR spectroscopy. These hydrazide-functionalized terpyridines represent versatile precursors for the development of transition metal complexes with potential applications in catalysis, photophysics, and advanced materials science.</p>
