Synthesis and Structure of Novel 2,2′:6′,2″-Terpyridine Hydrazides and Related Derivatives

Abstract
Novel 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine derivatives bearing benzohydrazide moieties were synthesized and characterized. Their structures were confirmed by 1H and 13C NMR and IR spectroscopy. These hydrazide-functionalized terpyridines represent versatile precursors for the development of transition metal complexes with potential applications in catalysis, photophysics, and advanced materials science.
