Abstract <p>The condensation of (4-benzylthieno[3,2-<i>b</i>]pyrrol-5-yl)methanols with indole in methylene chloride in the presence of Amberlyst 15 afforded new 2-[(4-benzyl-4<i>H</i>-thieno[3,2-<i>b</i>]pyrrol-5-yl)methyl]-1<i>H</i>-indoles.</p>
