Abstract <p>A series of novel <i>N</i>,<i>N</i>′-diaryl dihydroxamic acids have been synthesized from sebacoyl chloride and the corresponding substituted <i>N</i>-phenylhydroxylamines. The synthesized dihydroxamic acids are promising due to their potential metal-chelating ability and biological properties.</p>
