Abstract <p>An efficient method has been developed for the synthesis of macrocyclic tetraoxadithiaspiroalkanes by the cyclocondensation of alkane-α,ω-dithiols (butane-1,4-dithiol, pentane-1,5-dithiol, and hexane-1,6-dithiol) with 1,1-dihydroperoxycycloalkanes and formaldehyde in the presence of lanthanide catalysts.</p>
