Mixed-Ligand Nickel(II) Complexes with 1-[5-Chloro(bromo)-2-pyridylazo]-2-hydroxy-4-mercaptophenol and Phenanthroline: Synthesis, Optical Properties, Thermal Behavior and Their Applications
摘要
Abstract
The reactions of nickel(II) with azomercaptophenols [HAMPs, H2L: 1-(5-chloro-2-pyridylazo)-2-hydroxy-4-mercaptophenol (CPMP) and 1-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-2-hydroxy-4-mercaptophenol (BPMP)] and phenanthroline (Phen) were studied by the extraction-photometric method. The HAMPs were characterized with IR and NMR spectroscopy. The influence of aqueous phase pH on the formation of [Ni(II)L2](Phen) complexes and thermal decomposition was studied. The developed extraction-photometric method was used to determine nickel in wastewater, oil samples and oil products.
