Research on the Seasonal Variation Patterns of Soil Pore Structure and Its Influencing Factors

The results of our study show that there is a significant seasonal variation in the number of types of soil pore structures. Although porosity and circulation do not show significant differences in different seasons, physical properties and environmental factors exhibit certain seasonal differences. Specifically, winter soil pores have a relatively high degree of complexity, autumn pores have a more uniform distribution, summer pores have a weaker connectivity, and spring has the greatest number of small pores. Through principal component analysis, we extracted three principal components, which mainly reflect the complexity, connectivity, and morphological features of soil pore structures. Furthermore, we used structural equation modeling to analyze the impact of different environmental factors on pore quantity and porosity, and found that humidity and rainfall have a relatively balanced impact on pore quantity, whereas temperature plays a dominant role in influencing porosity. In conclusion, this study has important guiding significance for understanding the morphology, quantity, and spatial distribution patterns of soil pore structures, and provides scientific guidance for agricultural production optimization and soil resource management.
