Impact of the Type of Correlated Event Detection on the Reliability of the Limited-Time Information Delivery Using the PRAW Mechanism
摘要
One of the ways to ensure fast and reliable information delivery from sensors operating in heterogeneous wireless networks is to use Wi-Fi HaLow technology, and, in particular, the Periodic Restricted Access Window (PRAW) mechanism. Most studies investigating PRAW in scenarios of reliable information delivery within a limited time assume that traffic generated at the sensors is not correlated. However, in real-world scenarios there are often situations where the same event causing traffic is detected simultaneously by multiple sensors. In this paper, we use analytical modelling to investigate the impact of the dispersion and asymmetry coefficient of the distribution of the number of sensors simultaneously detecting an event on the reliability of information delivery within the limited time using PRAW.
