Abstract <p>The work presents a mathematical description and testing of a numerical method for solving gas-dynamics equations (Euler equations). This mathematical method is based on the nonlinear compact polynomial computational method. It should also be noted that, to find the solution to the gas-dynamics equations, a transition was made (in the vicinity of the computational cell <InlineEquation ID="IEq1"> <EquationSource Format="TEX">\({{\Omega }_{i}}\)</EquationSource> <!--TechPhLt2670006Kuzenov-m1--> </InlineEquation>) in a local curvilinear coordinate system. An initial verification of the numerical method proposed in the work was carried out.</p>
