Abstract <p>Using the TracePro software environment, the lighting system of a phototherapeutic device for wound treatment was simulated and optimized. A pulsed xenon lamp with high biocidal and therapeutic potential was considered as a radiation source. The purpose of the optimization is to achieve maximum efficiency in the transfer of lamp radiation energy to the irradiated surface and maximum uniformity of radiation distribution across the light spot.</p>
