Abstract <p>Using the example of the subsystem of automatic measurement monitoring, the article considers the organization of proactive maintenance for monitoring measuring channels for data acquisition from sensors of industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). In order to improve the quality of proactive monitoring, it is proposed to use the tools underlying the software system of the invisible industrial intelligence of the environment (SSIIIE). In addition, the study shows that the concept of proactive monitoring needs to be functionally complemented by the new Edge AI (Edge Intelligence) technology. The development and use of such AI‑based innovations, especially using machine learning (ML) algorithms allows us to bring proactive monitoring capabilities to a new, more effective level.</p>
