Abstract <p>The SPD experiment will collect trillions of events, producing around ten petabytes yearly. A similar amount of simulated data will be generated. To effectively access and handle this data, and to support detector operation, a number of information systems (IS) have to be created. A catalog of the SPD physics events (Event Index) will help to access event data in the distributed storage system. A catalog of SPD hardware components will assist in detector maintenance and data acquisition. To support data production, a number of registries will be developed, including production, software, geometry and magnetic field map registries.</p>
