Description of Polarization Observables in dp Elastic Scattering at a GeV Energies
摘要
Abstract
Deuteron-proton elastic scattering is considered in the multiple-scattering-expansion model. Four reaction mechanisms are taken into account: one-nucleon exchange, single scattering, double scattering, and delta-isobar excitation in an intermediate state. The model calculates the reaction amplitude, which allows us to find the angular dependence of both the differential cross section and any polarization observables. In this report, we present the calculation results for the deuteron and proton analyzing powers, as well as for the proton polarization transfers in comparison with the data at the deuteron energy of 1.6 GeV.
