Abstract <p>Nuclear fusion reactions proceeding from various spin states of muonic molecules <i>pt</i>μ and <i>pd</i>μ were studied. For the first time, reaction channels for the synthesis of nuclei of such mu-molecules with the formation of pairs: gamma quanta were observed <i>pt</i>μ → <sup>4</sup>Heμ + γ + γ, <i>pd</i>μ→ <sup>3</sup>Heμ + γ + γ, as well as electron-positron pairs <i>pt</i>μ → <sup>4</sup>Heμ + <i>e</i><sup><i>+</i></sup> <i>+ e</i><sup><i>–</i></sup>. Measurement data for synthesis channels <i>pt</i>μ → <sup>4</sup>Heμ + γ and <i>pt</i>μ → <sup>4</sup>He + μ<sub>conv</sub> are in good agreement with data from other studies. In addition, the value of the theoretical ratio of the yield of <i>e</i><sup><i>+</i></sup><i>e</i><sup><i>–</i></sup>-pairs to the yield of conversion muons in <i>pt</i>—fusion reactions has been experimentally confirmed.</p>

Abstract

Nuclear fusion reactions proceeding from various spin states of muonic molecules ptμ and pdμ were studied.
