Abstract <p>The paper provides a technical description of the Carpet-3 facility of the Baksan Neutrino Observatory, Institute for Nuclear Research, Russian Academy of Sciences, designed for registration extensive air showers (EAS) in a wide range of energies of primary cosmic radiation from 10&#xa0;TeV to 10 PeV. It consists of a ground-based array of detectors and an underground muon detector, which have data acquisition systems that are synchronized with each other.</p>
