Simulation of Gamma-Ray Burst Signals and Extended Source Detection with the Ground-Based TAIGA-IACTs Facility
摘要
Abstract
The research program of the TAIGA-IACT facility, a component of the TAIGA astrophysical complex, includes the study of a number of extended gamma-ray sources and the search for TeV-energy gamma rays from gamma-ray bursts. This paper presents simulations of the detection of high-energy gamma-ray radiation using the TAIGA-IACT Cherenkov telescopes for the GRB 221009A event and for extended gamma-ray sources of realistic angular size in the telescope camera. The single-telescope effective area for detecting TeV gamma rays from gamma-ray bursts is estimated, and the TAIGA-IACT sensitivity for extended source detection is calculated.
