Abstract <p>The problem of determining the coordinates of Au–Au interactions at a center-of-mass energy of 7 GeV and the influence of different ion beam pipe configurations on the results are considered. The modeling was performed using the UrQMD 3.4 event generator, Geant4, and a neural network model. Eight configurations were studied: ion beam pipes with wall thicknesses of 1.2, 3, 5, and 8 mm, with the wall material being carbon and iron. The use of beam pipe with walls with thicknesses of 1–3 mm does not significantly affect the outcome, but further increasing the wall thickness significantly reduces accuracy.</p>
