Abstract <p>Recent experimental results on searches for non-resonant Higgs boson pair production at the LHC are summarized and expected sensitivity to this process at the high-luminosity LHC is discussed. Abstract

Recent experimental results on searches for non-resonant Higgs boson pair production at the LHC are summarized and expected sensitivity to this process at the high-luminosity LHC is discussed. These results are based on analyzes of complete datasets accumulated by the ATLAS and CMS detectors in proton–proton collisions at \(\sqrt{s}=13\) TeV which correspond to about 140 fb \({}^{-1}\) integrated luminosity, and on their projections to data equivalent to 3000 fb \({}^{-1}\) at \(\sqrt{s}=14\) TeV expected at the HL-LHC.
