Abstract <p>Using the Monte Carlo method within the framework of a two-dimensional model of a layered HTS, the magnetic field distribution in the sample plane formed by the flow of a transport current was obtained. The velocities of vortices at each point of the sample were calculated. The dependence of the maximum vortex velocity on the number of pinning centers in the sample was obtained. The results will be used in further calculations of the superconductor response to the pulsed action of a current exceeding the critical one.</p>
