Longitudinal Dependence of Electron Concentration in the Earth’s Plasmasphere at L = 2.5
摘要
Abstract
We studied the dependence of the electron concentration in the night plasmasphere on the geographic longitude at 2.5 Earth radii in the equatorial plane. The dependence is studied for times when more than 5 days have passed since strong geomagnetic disturbances. It is shown that the electron concentration at the same magnetic latitude at the same local time can differ by 2.5 times at different geographic longitudes. In addition, it is shown that the distribution of electron concentration by longitude depends on the season (winter/summer).
